Education Outside the Classroom *

At Napier Girls' High School we take particular care to ensure that parents are kept fully informed of our education outside the classroom programmes, and sporting and cultural events held outside of school hours; and that students participate in these with your full approval.

To date we have experienced full support for these outings and consider that it may be more convenient to ask parents to sign one permission slip for all such curriculum based experiences during their daughters' time at Napier Girls' High School.  You will, of course, continue to be fully informed of such events such as overnight stays, or trips where particular issues of safety need to be addressed.  If you are happy with this concept, please sign overleaf.

I/We give permission for our daughter to participate in school outings during her time at Napier Girls' High School, including sporting and cultural events, which may involve bus travel, transportation in the school minivan, minivan taxi, staff vehicles or walking to venues within reasonable distance of Napier Girls' High School. I understand that for out-of-school education involving overnight stays and particular issues of safety, I/We will be informed and my/our permission sought.

Publishing of Student Photographs and Work *

From Time to time Napier Girls' High School may wish to use photographs, publications and/or student's work to promote activities and achievement at the school. Unless the Board of Trustees receives written notifications to the contrary, it is accepted that you do not object to this practice, provided that the students are always portrayed in a positive and acceptable manner.
